Dentistry

Healthy Teeth. Healthier Pets.

See beyond the surface with dental care that treats the whole pet.

Dental disease doesn’t just affect the mouth. It can lead to pain, infection, and serious complications elsewhere in the body. That’s why we include dental X-rays in every cleaning—so we can catch what others might miss.

At Soda Springs Animal Clinic, dental care is treated with the same level of safety and attention as surgery. You’ll know what to expect, what’s optional, and what truly needs to be addressed.

Every Dental Procedure Includes:

Full-mouth dental radiographs

We’re the only clinic in two counties offering dental X-rays with every cleaning. This helps us detect infection below the gumline, fractures, and hidden tooth root issues.

Scaling and polishing

We clean both above and below the gumline to remove plaque and tartar.

Extractions (If needed)

If any teeth are damaged or causing pain, we’ll walk you through next steps and costs before proceeding.

Full anesthetic monitoring

Includes blood pressure, capnography, ECG, temperature, and a technician who monitors your pet throughout the entire procedure.

Two technicians on every dental

One assists the doctor, one monitors anesthesia at all times.

We believe dentistry is medical, not cosmetic—and we treat it that way.

When to Schedule a Dental Exam

  • Bad breath
  • Drooling or chewing on one side
  • Difficulty eating or “selective” chewing
  • Yellow or brown buildup on teeth
  • Red, swollen, or bleeding gums
  • Pawing at the mouth

Dental Care FAQ

For most adult pets, we recommend once a year. Some pets may need more frequent care depending on their breed or history.
Yes. We use pre-anesthetic screening and advanced monitoring to reduce risk, even in senior animals.
No. Anesthesia-free dentals are not recommended because they don’t allow for thorough cleaning or safe treatment of below-the-gum disease.
